辛巴威實施禁漁令辛巴威農業及合作社部長Bradford Machila呼籲人民遵守與重視辛巴威政府每年實施3個月的禁漁令，倘若辛巴威人民不響應保育漁業資源，勢必要付出龐大的國家成本。此禁令並非要剝奪漁村賴以生存的作業，而是要落實漁業資源的保育與強化漁業資源管理。他並節能燈具建議漁村能在漁業資源復育的禁漁期間從事其他能刺激生產的農業活動。禁漁期間，嚴禁在下列地區從事作業與相關活動：Kfue河與氾濫平原漁業、最上游的Kafue漁業、Zambezi上游、從水壩牆到Zambezi/Luangwa匯流處的Zambezi下游、Lukanga沼澤、Bangweulu漁業，湖泊與沼澤的591開放水域、Mweru-wa-ntipa、Mweru、Luapula、Lusiwashi與Chambeshi漁業等。漁業部人員將與警察單位、辛巴威野生動物管理局與其他執法單位全力合作監控非法作業行為。漁民收成與販售養殖魚的合法活動並不會受到禁漁令的影響，並需配合在禁魚令指定的市場販售。（摘譯自住商房屋Infofish Trade News NO.23/2008，Dec.15 2008）FISHING BAN TO BE ENFORCED IN ZIMBABWEThe government of Zimbabwe has called on people engaged in fishing to observe and enforce theannual ban on fishing for three months. Minister of Agriculture and 九份民宿Cooperatives BradfordMachila said it was important to observe the ban because it would be too costly to the nation ifZimbabweans failed to conserve the fish resource.The fishing ban was not meant to deprive the fishing community of their economic 小型辦公室livelihood butwas meant to promote the conservation of the fishery resource and strengthen the capacity infishery resource management. He urged the fishing community to engage in other agriculturalactivities to boost production when they observe 酒店打工the closure of the fishing season to facilitate theregeneration of the fish stocks.During this period, fishing and related activities are prohibited in the following areas; Kafue Riverand the flood plain fishery, super upper Kafue Fishery, upper 帛琉Zambezi, lower Zambezi from thedam wall to the Zambezi/ Luangwa confluence, Lukanga Swamps, Bangweulu fishery, both openwaters of the lake and the swamps, Mweru-wa-ntipa, Mweru, Luapula, Lusiwashi and Chambeshifishery.The fisheries staff would be 當鋪working together with the Zambia Police, the Zambia WildlifeAuthority and other law enforcement agencies to monitor illegal fishing activities.The fish ban does not affect fish farmers whose activities would go uninterrupted with harvests andsales 小額信貸of their farmed fish. Farmed fish is legal business and should be sold only in designatedmarkets to facilitate effective compliance to the fish ban.
